Indoor Success @ Derby Grand Slam

CCHC was busy over the half-term jubilee weekend, with 6 teams from U10 to U16 taking part in the Indoor Hockey UK Derby Grand Slam. Played over 4 days from 2-5 June, with varying formats, this was a hugely fun and well organised tournament, offering a wonderful experience for all the players, some new to indoor hockey.

There were strong performances from all 6 teams; lots of learning & teamship on show, and all the fixtures played in a wonderful spirit. There were a few medals to top it off too! U10 Boys, U12 Girls, & U16 Girls (with a young, Year 10 team) all took silver 🥈, and the U12 Boys bronze 🥉.

A special mention for the U12 Girls who were without their regular GK. It was brilliant to see so many of the girls step forward to take a turn in the spare goalie kit, with a huge shout out to Immie who also played both the SF and Final in goal 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻.
