After a slow first 10 minutes, we managed to pick the quality up. A strong defensive performance in the first stages of the half kept us at 0-0. Unfortunately, due to a miss-trapped pass to the midfield of the opposition, the ball managed to find its way to their centre forward to create a 2 on 1. A clinical finish from their best player put them in the lead. Later on in the half, we were able to win a few short corners but couldn't convert any. By the end of the first half, we were by far the better team with our midfield linking with the forwards very well, however we couldn't find the back of the net. Into the second half, we scraped a goal back with a good finish from Gibson. We won even more short corners, and through multiple variations, we couldn't score, due to strong PCD from St Ives. In the last stages of the second half, the opposition managed to score one of their short corners, and put them in a 2-1 lead. Following their goal, they defended strongly and kept us from scoring for the draw. Strong performances from Luca (MotM), AJ, Gibson, Guinness and Nick couldn't get us the win.
