Brilliant weekend on tour for the U12 Boys at the Repton Cup.
The U12 boys performed with huge determination and teamwork throughout the Repton Cup weekend. Despite a hectic schedule, the boys showed great energy throughout, with a series of strong performances against some quality opposition, winning or drawing the majority of their matches in both the indoor and outdoor competitions.
Fortified by a hearty lasagne at 5 pm, and Domino's at 9 pm after the last round of evening matches, the coaches were pretty confident the boys would be tired but full...?
Showered and into bed at a decent time, the boys discovered the L.E.D. lights in the boarding house which clearly impressed!
Onto day two of the hockey weekend and the boys dug deep all day, both in their indoor and outdoor matches. There were outstanding moments throughout the weekend from the team, from excellent saves in goal, to defenders distributing the ball effectively, to midfielders positioning and moving to create scoring opportunities for the attackers to keep notching up those goals, with one impressive score of 9-1 to CCHC!
The weekend was finished off with the arrival of the ice-cream van for a well deserved treat and the chance to meet GB legend David Ames!
Well done to U12 boys team for a performance to be proud of.
