Welcome to Wilberforce Road Sports Ground, home of Cambridge City Hockey Club.   

The last few years have been difficult for many of us, but at CCHC, we have been focusing on helping people get back onto the pitch. That has included organising a number of summer leagues with other local clubs, developing our Youth Section (now well over 450 members between the ages of 4 and 18) and promoting Back-to-Hockey, Walking Hockey and Flyerz. It is fantastic to see so many people playing hockey again!

City are hoping that a new month brings a change of fortune after a last minute defeat at the hands of Surbiton a week ago left a bitter taste in the mouth. Sevenoaks are 4 points off the top of the table and are hoping to stay in touch with undefeated Isca and Barnes, who are the only teams to beat them so far this year.

When these two teams met last season, Sevenoaks won 4-1 in Kent, but City managed to edge a 5 goal thriller at home. Cambridge will hope to take inspiration from that victory and light a fuse that could see them plot their way up the table. Let’s hope for some fireworks on the pitch (as well as above it).
